For The Princess. And The Kitchen.

So I had decided NOT to get CootieGirl and new furniture for her room. But then I saw this and changed my mind:

The picture shows the twin bed, but I’d get the full size since that’s the size bed she has. The pros to this bedset is that while it is very girly, it can still accommodate a teenager because it’s not CHILDISH (a la the Disney bedroom sets featuring the princess bows and tiaras that any smart pre-teen would abhor). So even when CootieGirl and I paint over her princess mural when she’s 11 or 12 years old she can keep her furniture and still have a cool teenager room.

Cost is decent – the question is whether Denis will let me spend the money on it. I’m not done with my furniture budget that he’s given me, so technically I suppose I could get it. I’ll wait and see what he says.

As for the kitchen, I found this set (table/chairs only) for a great price and will be getting this for the breakfast area. Price is excellent for this as well, and I’ll be getting plastic seat covers to protect the chair cushions while my kids are still in the “half makes it to my mouth, half falls off the spoon” stage. Update at 3:15 p.m.: Kitchen has been purchased and will be delivered October 9!

Bored with furniture yet?

Remember, though, that Marmie would very much like to give to CootieGirl the white set in our guest room, when we move out of this house, that is. And since your sister is having a boy, it probably won’t go to him. πŸ™‚

Yes, but if Jen and Beau have another child (always possible) and it’s a girl, she can have it. Either way, I ordered the set before seeing your comment. I’m sure we can all figure something out when the time comes for you to actually move – seeing as you don’t really even have a timeframe for that in place.
