One More Month to Tivo

I hate not having Tivo now that the fall season is about to begin. There are so many things I want to see – even just the pilots – and because of so much counterprogramming I won’t be able to see them.

I’m most excited about “The Office” starting back up on Thursday. It’s up against “Survivor”s 2nd half but who cares about stinky ol’ “Survivor” when it’s JIM and PAM and all their romantical glory. That and TAR10 (is it 10 or 11?) that started last night. Those are the ONLY shows that I’m super crazy excited about. And it’s mainly because I don’t want to get excited about shows that I just won’t be able to see because we don’t have our Tivo set up yet.

Our closing is still set for October 2 and I’m hoping beyond hope that we can have satellite up and running at the house by October 5-6 so that I can at least take a receiver and a TV over and begin taping stuff even if I’m not there.

Denis bought me the season two dvd set of “The Office” last week and I’ve already watched the 6 hours of bonus features as well as all commentaries that they included. LOVED IT. And I know this sounds totally stupid, but the cast is so amazing, and Jenna Fisher is so amazing (as attested to by her MySpace page), that I can’t help but feel like I KNOW these people. I loved how the cast kept giving shout outs to fans during the commentaries. And my latest fake boyfriend (besides John Krasinski)? Paul Liebeskind, who plays Toby. He’s also a writer and is incredibly funny.

I recorded last week’s The Office, so I’ve seen last season’s finale finally. Wow. *excited and nervous*

Bad news on the Project Runway recording effort – somehow it didn’t record any episodes despite it being listed in my Season Pass list. However, I have several Meerkat Manor eps for you. I still need to download it all to tape. I’m sorry I’m so slow on this for you.

I’ll just rent Project Runway on Netflix, or catch the 10 dozen repeats that I’m sure Bravo will air.

I highly recommend “Rome” on HBO. Despite the brief nudity and s*ual situations it has a marvelous story line centered around Julius Caesar. Season 2 won’t be on until next year, but season 1 is out on DVD.

    Five centurions out of five.
