Can I just tell you how wonderful my commute is in the new job? The first day I averaged about 30 minutes each way. But last night going home? TWENTY-ONE MINUTES. You read that right. I left the office at 6:28 p.m. and pulled into our parking lot at 6:49 p.m.
This morning I left at 8:23 a.m. and parked my car at 8:52 a.m. That’s 29 minutes, people. In NoNJ if I left at 8:23 a.m. to go to work I wouldn’t have parked my car until close to 9:20 a.m.
I am in HEAVEN. Now, I don’t know if this is going to last – obviously August is a big vacation month, and the local schools start August 9, so maybe next week traffic will be worse, but at this rate I don’t think I will ever complain about my commute even if it goes to 45 minutes due to an accident.
