No Bosses Today

I thought Mr. Russell was going to be here today, but apparently his flight connecting to Chicago was cancelled last night, and he was forced to stay the night. So I presume he’ll be landing in either Philly or Newark sometime in the next 30 minutes, depending on what flight he took this morning.

If he lands in Newark he’ll definitely come in today, but if he lands in Philadelphia I’m not sure if he’ll make the two-hour drive to our offices or not since we’re most likely closing early.

So it’s a quiet morning! I’m going to go work on his email inbox – he likes to do a sort and purge every few months and yesterday I was only able to go through about 200 of the 2000+ emails.

Update at 2:07 p.m.: Well, Mr. Russell called (he arrived at his house around 11 a.m. from his trip) and asked me to forget about purging emails and to continue on my database work. I’m looking up CFO, address and phone information on a couple hundred companies so that we can begin cold-calling in a couple weeks. So that’s what I’ve been working on while also doing travel for him, travel for Mr. Sutherland, and other minor tasks that I’ve been given today.

I was hoping The Company would close at 2 p.m. today, but seeing as it’s 2:07 p.m. right now, I don’t think that’s happening. The rumor is that it’s a 4 p.m. closing – we’ll see.

Update at 2:16 p.m. El Presidente of The Company just walked through and told me that I can leave at 3 p.m. YIPPEEEE!!!!
