This weekend’s movie was Peter Jackson’s “King Kong” which I found very enjoyable. That PJ knows how to make a good adventure movie. The casting was well done and everyone did a nice job, from Naomi Watts to Jack Black to Adrien Brody. Andy Serkis “played” Kong and while Kong was interesting, he obviously wasn’t quite the notable character as “Gollum” from LOTR.
Sure, some parts of the movie were completely ridiculous (that entire scene of the guys running along with the dinos trying to get away from the raptors, for instance), but it was still a fun movie.
3 1/2 thank yous for replacing in our minds the awful Jessica Lange Kong remake out of five.
