Okay, so I was really anticipating a crappy night of Queen songs being bumbled and destroyed. However, only one person really sucked: Ace Young. The song “We Will Rock You” has very little by way of melodic vocals and was too big a song for the boy. He will be in the bottom three tonight.
As for the rest, no one did a horrible job. Bucky was actually better than normal (read: still not GREAT, but better than he’s been in the past). This could only mean that he’ll be booted off tonight, mainly because that’s what happened to Kevin Corvais (had a GREAT performance and promptly got the boot).
I thought Chris performed well, but should have picked a different song – something that people knew, not just diehard Queen fans. That might hurt him. Well, that and the eyeliner.
Pickler. Ah, Pickler. Strutting her stuff like Ann Wilson in 1970s Heart. Very funny and not too shabby.
Katherine McPhee might find herself in the bottom three as well, because singing a bad theme from a bad 1980s movie might not be your best bet. That will hurt her. Well, that and the Terri Nunn circa 1982 eye makeup.
I thought Elliott did a great job, but Denis thinks he’ll be in the bottom three. I don’t know – I thought he was fabulous although a little hyper again.
Taylor Taylor Taylor. If you’re gonna do a mikestand kick, make sure you get it the first time, and if you don’t knock it down the first time, don’t try again. Other than that, he’ll probably be safe and, as Denis pointed out last night, it’s obvious he wanted to do that song because he’s done it in 100s of bars over the past ten years.
Paris sang a song that was again too adult for her, but she did a decent job.
Am I forgetting anyone? I always forget someone. Bucky, Pickler, Chris, Elliott, Katherine, Taylor, Paris…there’s another one…Oh Ace! See? So bad I had to drum it from my mind even after starting off this post with him. Good, I got everyone this time.
Chris was getting the judge’s reviews when Beau looked at me, “Is he wearing eye liner?”
Yep.
I’m hoping Ace goes home tonight, but I think it may be Taylor. It’s tough because they were all about equal in their performances last night.
I take back my :puke: about Bucky from last week he was not too bad. Perhaps going out on a high might be the best thing for him.

Can someone please dress Catherine? She can sing and was one of my faves but she has no stage presence and it gets on my nerves.
Eliott was good, very good. But as a sign of solidarity with my hubby I do not like him!!!
