Why I love the nerds: Dave apologized on the mat for being mean to Lori when he actually seemed kind of encouraging for the most part.
Why I love producers of TAR9: They love to point out the obvious when people say, “I’m smart” and then pronounce “Palermo” incorrectly multiple times.
Why last night’s episode of AI5 sucked: No Barry Manilow. Seriously what was UP with the show last night? Last week everyone was AMAZING – even little Kevin Corvais. And yet tonight they all sucked the big one. I’m convinced that Barry Manilow needs to become a permanent fixture each week on the show to help the singers with their songs. Not only were the bulk of the song choices absolutely miserable but the performances were downright lackluster. Only Paris had excitement (Mandisa practically shouted her song instead of singing), and only Taylor had originality (it helped he sang a song very few would know). Poor Chris, who normally gets praised, gets criticized this week for sticking with the same winning formula from weeks past. But then again – it was a horrible song choice. It was just one bad performance after another. And don’t get me started on Elliott’s warped version of Gavin DeGraw. I love that song and Elliott murdered it.
Yeah, you knew it was coming the “Chris you need to venture out” comment. They build up to break down. So, who do you think should go?
