The rest of the weekend was fun. We had hoped to meet up with friends in the early afternoon, but it got moved to a dinnertime hour, and we opted to meet them in Spartanburg (the not-quite-halfway point between the two couples) for dinner at The Beacon Drive-In. I went there once when I was in college about 15 years ago and it’s a fun time.
Once done visiting with our friends we drove back to Fort Mill and promptly crashed in bed again. Sunday morning we slept in again (8:30 a.m.!) and after checking out of the motel we drove back over to the land for one more look and more pictures. It had been raining that morning so my shoes were quickly coated in red clay mud but I didn’t care. It was MY red clay mud!! We then hopped in the car and drove around looking for a place to eat. We had seen a newspaper ad for a local diner but when we drove over there it was closed (after all, Sunday IS the Lord’s day). We opted to drive towards Charlotte Airport and eventually found an IHOP that we pulled into.
We turned in the rental car, checked in for our flight and promptly began the wait – due to weather our flight was delayed by about an hour. Fortunately the flight time was quick so we didn’t get home too late – around 6 p.m. We were greeted with hugs and smiles and spent the evening playing with the kids, putting them to bed, then showing Marmie the pictures and video we took of the land.
FUN weekend and totally worth it in every conceivable way.

Maybe WE should invest in that property! We have even talked about finding land somewhere off the road we’re on now. I’m glad you had a good weekend!!
Ya’ll come back now, ya hear?? LOL
Hey Amy – let me know if you want to – the seller said he’d sell to any of our referrals, so it’s a practically a slam-dunk if you want it…
