I don’t know if anyone reads Cootiepie anymore, but I have been posting over there over the past couple of weeks. But since I don’t know that anyone goes there, I figured I’d pass this story along.
The other night Denis prepared mussels in red wine sauce for dinner. CootieGirl was fascinated by the shells, and had fun mimicking us by picking them up and breaking them open. We ate a couple mussels and encouraged her to try one. She didn’t even flinch, popping it in her mouth and swallowing it almost whole. A few minutes later she put one in her mouth but changed her mind and spit it out. But after that she ate three more mussels in quick succession without any concern for their appearance whatsoever.
Can steamed oysters be far behind?
Heh, our youngest loves mussels and has since she was very young, and oysters, and sushi…I’m pretty sure that waiters don’t often get requests from 3 year olds for mussels though…it’s not usually on the kids’ menu. 🙂
Hi,
I do read your cootiepie blog from time to time, :lurking: though its almost never updated lol.. well, I’ve commented before I think, but my name is Veronica, from Miami and I love reading other people’s blogs, speacially baby blogs.
Uh, I check Cootiepie everyday, so more posting would be nice. I know I don’t always comment, but it helps me when I need an CootieGirl or CootieBoy “fix.”
Yeah, I read over there on occasion. More posting, please. And the boy gets short shrift, too.
