Well, the medicine we got for Mr. Fish’s popeye problem was too little too late. :eyepop: Poor little man died this evening. He hasn’t been eating well over the past few days (mainly because he couldn’t see the food – when he’d bump into it he’d swallow it down quickly). Tonight we were getting the kids ready for a bath and he wasn’t moving much at all and was really listless. By the time their bath was done he was upside down in the tank.
Relatively speaking, he lived a long life – easily 3x that of Mr. Fish Sr. Which means I’m getting better at taking care of fish. So this weekend I’ll make the trek to the pet shop and get Mr. Fish III and see if we can go for doubling the time of life to a full 12 months. I’d be very satisfied with that. And now I know the MINUTE I see an eye even start to swell I need to start antibiotics.
