Today was much better with the kids. It helped that CootieBoy is finally back to his old self (read: playful and full of smiles despite the drippy nose). CootieGirl watched “Monsters Inc.” for the first time today. At first she was a little dubious about whether she wanted to watch it, but by the midpoint she was hooked and wouldn’t look away. So chalk another one up for Pixar…CootieGirl loves ’em.
After church today I tackled the backyard and attempted to get up some of the leaves. I quit after about 3/4 of them were done, because the remaining 1/4 had about twice as many leaves as the entire rest of the yard. Thankfully the tree that dumped all those leaves is empty now, so once those are done the leaves will be just about done falling in the backyard. We still have to do the front yard – I’m hoping Denis can get to that one day this week before we head to VA for the holiday. If not I’ll just do them next Sunday after we get home from VA.
I have a dress fitting tonight for Mare-Bear’s bridesmaid dress. Hopefully it’s my last one since the wedding is in two weeks. My shoes won’t be ready until Tuesday, so I’m wearing similar heels tonight.
And that’s what has been going on in our family today. Hope you’ve had a fun day as well.
If you think CootieGirl is ready for the Movie Theater, I would be more than willing to go with you and her to see Chicken Little. yeah, I may have seen it, but its worth seeing again. Especially if you think she would sit through the entire thing.
Your call.
You know my rule – no movie theaters for children until they are 5 years old. I plan on sticking with that. If she’s REALLY mature at age 4 I’ll take her, but for now we’re only watching movies at home with her.
Jaynee, I wish more parents were like you!! That’s a great rule, and I’m glad you’re sticking to it!
