I can’t tell you how many people have asked me if I’m looking forward to taking out my kids for Halloween. My response? “My kids are one and 2 1/2 years old. They don’t know what Halloween is, and besides – I don’t want candy in my house.” They look at me in horror, secretly wondering why I’m such a bad mother. :sarcastic:
They didn’t dress up yesterday either, when all the other kids in church were fully decked out in Barbie princess tulle or Batman or Darth Vader or whatever other costumes there were. Granted, the two Barbie princesses looked admittedly adorable, but I just couldn’t bothered. We at least had CootieGirl in a black turtleneck and an orange sweater – does that count?
I figure in a couple more years we’ll take CootieGirl out to hit up a few houses for some candy. Til then? What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her.
