Last night I watched “Bright Young Things”, a movie set in the Jazz Age where decadence ruled in a pre-Hitler world. The movie followed a variety of characters, including a man and woman who wanted to be together but “couldn’t” because he had no money (something she made obvious that she required despite her love for him).
I admit I didn’t pay strict attention to this movie (I was surfing the web at the same time) but it was still worth the rental. I took a class on The Jazz Age when I was in college and it was one of the better liberal arts classes I took for my major (Computer and The Mind being the absolutely worst). That was one of the reason for the appeal of this movie.
