TV: Reunion

Last night was the premiere episode of “Reunion” and I have to say that I really liked it. I don’t see how it will be possible to do a second season though. The “quirk” of the show is that each episode is a different year in the lives of the main characters. Last night’s premiere took place in 1986, when the kids were graduating high school. They had their lives ahead of them and in that post-HS summer their lives quickly changed. One girl ended up pregnant, one guy ended up in jail, another guy got away with his crime (thus sending his pal to jail). Interweaved with 1986 is the stories of the kids in 2006 – where they are now. Last night focused on the tomboy, now a cold princess in designer clothes. She has just attended the funeral of one of her HS friends (they never say which one) and is a suspect in the case to solve the mystery of how the dead friend died.

Sounds confusing – but it’s not. It’s simply a well-written interesting show that I will definitely tune into again.

I liked it too and was wondering about how it would be possible to have another season.

The soundtrack alone is reason enough to watch this show. I was jamming on all of the music.
