Book: Harry Potter, Part 6

I finally finished the new Harry Potter – it took at least 100 pages for the story to get going, but once it did I thoroughly enjoyed it. Today I specifically spent time reading and go through the last 150 pages in between playing with the kids and cleaning the house.

Now, I knew going into it what happens on Page 596 – I accidently clicked on a link in Gigglechick’s blog that took me to a picture of a t-shirt announcing what happens on Page 596. That didn’t stop me from enjoying the book thoroughly.

These kids are growing up, and growing up quite realistically for a fantasy novel. I liked how JK Rowling had Harry obsessing over Voldemort one minute and girl problems the next. I won’t go into too much about the book, but it was significantly better than Part Five, which SUCKED.

And yes, I’m looking forward to the new movie – Part Four is definitely going to be fun to watch on film – lots of stuff happened in that book and it’ll be interesting to see how much makes it into the film.
