Busy Morning!

It’s 10 a.m. and I’ve been doing a lot of stuff. Sort of non-work related (although I HAVE done some things for Mr. Sutherland at his request).

1) I submitted two weeks worth of daycare account claims. Hopefully that’ll get paid in a few days.
2) I did my church tithe online.
3) Verified that all of my deductions are now being taken out, including CootieBoy’s college savings plan.
4) I found out my Palm Axim is dead and may lose everything with a hard reset. I’m trying another option I found online – I don’t know if it’ll work. :pray: My dad seems to think only a hard reset will work, but you never know. I’d hate to lose all my data – since I haven’t synched since leaving my old company and don’t have it hooked up anywhere else yet, I may lose everything. That would royally SUCK. :banghead:

*my alarm went off* Okay, I’ll be back after I try this last step on the Palm.

😥 Well, it didn’t work – everything is gone. EVERYTHING. It did a hard reset and now all of my data is completely gone. :weeping: I’m devastated – I had ALL of my contacts on there – each and everyone including some personal information within each contact. And it’s gone.

The Company

Busy Morning!

Last night I worked my first hour of overtime and this morning I came in about 20 minutes early to finish up some work. Both my bosses are traveling today, but it has still been a hectic morning because I’ve had problems with my MS Publisher file – it won’t print to Adobe Distiller and create a PDF. I’ve determined that it’s a graphic problem, which can’t be solved since the company doesn’t own any advanced graphics programs like Photoshop. But I now have had instances with both bosses where Creative Suite would have come in handy, so I plan on discussing it with them tomorrow since CS can be had for $900 and includes six programs. That’s pretty cheap, really.

In the meantime I told the IT guys that I would forward the Publisher document to my house and try and resolve the situation there (read: I’ll redo the graphics in Illustrator and Photoshop they way they were supposed to be done). So that’s my mission for this evening.

In other news, my commute time this morning was 43 minutes.

In still yet other news, I forgot to bring lunch with my today which means I have to go downstairs and pay exhorbitant amounts of money.

In the last bit of news, I got my first paystub and because they haven’t started taking out medical/401K costs my first paycheck will be quite nice. *lol* We’ll see the REAL damage come August 15th when the total number of pre-tax deductions comes out. Then I’ll take that hit I’m expecting.

But hey, at least the August mortgage is covered!

CootieBoy, Getting In Shape

This morning I finally got out to Brookdale Park to do some walking as part of Synergy, which I haven’t done in weeks. Well, no one else was there, so I walked for about 30 minutes and then came home and mowed the backyard which was a veritable forest before I got to it!

This morning CootieGirl and CootieBoy woke up about 7:15 a.m. (a nice change from the 5:30 a.m. wakeups we had last week). I opened their door and found CootieBoy standing up in his crib! I was very excited – I hadn’t seen him do that before. I told Denis when he came upstairs and he said, “Oh yeah – he did that a couple days ago.”

Harrumph.

I put CootieBoy down for a nap a moment ago and he promptly pulled himself up to standing in the crib then looked at me with a huge grin. I laid him back on his back and he promptly did it again. Not willing to play his game, I left the room and shut the door behind me. He’s now standing in his crib, crying because he hasn’t figured out how to get back down. *lol*
