This morning was the quarterly meeting at my company, during which all employees are fed a hearty breakfast and then forced to listen to the head honchos give speeches. If I hadn’t been so tired I wouldn’t have minded the meeting – some of the stuff they talked about was interesting for me because it was a chance to learn about the company. But when they started talking about their “executives go into the wilderness to learn about values and how to make the company work better” thing, they kind of lost me and my eyes went to half-mast.
When the meeting broke I came back and immediately tried to save my Publisher document as a PDF to no avail. So I’ve officially given up on that and redid the entire document in Word – it looks just like the Publisher document only I cheated a bit to make it work properly. I’m now attempting to save THAT as a PDF. We’ll see what happens.
My commute this morning took only 33 minutes but there are two reasons: 1) It’s Friday – no one works on Fridays, and 2) I left the house an hour earlier than usual for the quarterly meeting which started at 8 a.m.
If you want, send me the file and I’ll see what I can do. I should be able to get it into a pdf for you. I have been reading about your struggles with this and was hopeful it would work out today. 🙂
Bob, I appreciate the offer. I’ve talked my boss into giving me approval to get Adobe Creative Suite here on my computer. So this first one will stay in Word and from here on out they’ll all be done the proper way!!
