How glorious to wake up at 8:30 a.m. instead of 6:30 a.m.? I was up briefly around 6 a.m. when the kids woke up, but Denis was kind enough to dispatch of the dirty diapers and whisk the kids downstairs before I really fully woke up and so I passed back out quickly and slept until 8:30 a.m. Wonderful!
My day-off will begin with IHOP (apparently they have funnel cake pancakes?) and then I’ll go get my nails done. They are ragged and gross and in need of being cleaned up. I’ll most likely get a French manicure. I priced out facials at the salon I used for my maternity massages and the facials are more expensive than the massages! That’s crazy! So no facial. I’ll just come home and maybe do some gardening in the back before it gets hot. Then I’ll come inside and color my hair (I’m going blonde again), and then at 3 p.m. I’m getting my hair cut and shaped.
Denis wants to see a movie today – don’t know if that’ll happen, but we’ll see.
 Jane — enjoy your day off, you deserve it. And if I don’t get a chance to email you Monday, good luck at your new place. I’m sure you will run that office in no time. Love ya.
Enjoy your “free” day!!
May I warn you about the funnel cakes at IHOP? I tried them last weekend and they were a HUGE disappointment, not at all like true carnival funnel cakes, not worth the calories at all! These were soggy, chewy and drowning in way too much gelatinous fruit topping. I’m probably too late now (it’s already 11:15 EST), so sorry…
I wish you well in your new job. :w00t:
Gwynne – the funnel cakes over in my neck of the woods were great. Mine were sans fruit though – I’m not a big fan of fruit. I wonder if that made the difference?
Jaynee, you’re probably right. When I get them anyplace else, they are always sans fruit and I love them that way…so maybe there will be a next time afterall.
You were going to garden post-manicure? Bad decision. Pamper those hands after a fresh mani.
