This book was an extremely quick read. I think I got it done in 3 total commuting days. It’s a simple story – following the lives of three generations of women – a woman dealing with her daughter and mother-in-law. The storyline moved along well enough, but the character of the mother-in-law seemed to undergo a transformation much too quickly. She starts as a bitca and by the end everything is all hunky-dory and I just didn’t find myself believing it.
Don’t buy it – it’s not worth the money. But if you have a library card, you might enjoy this quick tale.
Nonetheless, I’m grateful for the light reading and that sense of accomplishment in removing a book from my ever-expanding “to be read” list over there on the sidebar.
