Good news! This weekend my scale finally changed and I ended up losing 2.5 more pounds in the last few days of Phase 1 on South Beach Diet.

And so today begins Phase 2, during which I’ll get to slowly reintroduce carbs into my diet such as whole wheat bread, popcorn, all-bran cereals and whole wheat pasta. I actually started Phase 2 yesterday – at church I splurged and had 2 pieces of pineapple, 2 slices of apple and a 1/4 of a donut. And loved every bite. *lol*
Once a week I’ll give myself a “forbidden” item and have actually marked the calendar in our kitchen. Yesterday was supposed to be carrots but it ended up being cereal because I had Frosted Flakes for dinner. The forbidden items are potatoes, pop-tarts, carrots, cereal and ice cream. Once a week I get ONE of those items.
