I just finished reading “The Devil Wears Prada” and boy howdy did I love that book. It’s in the same genre as “The Nannie Diaries” – a peek inside a world you don’t live in but just know is more miserable than your own existence. “Diaries” is the world of nannies which I’m grateful I’m not a part of, and “Devil” is about the magazine world and having to be subordinate to one of the most ridiculous bosses ever.
Now, the guys at my office can be bears to work for, but if even HALF of the stuff in this book is true (the author worked for Vogue’s Anna Wintour for a brief stint before writing this book) then I have to admit that the admins at my company have it easy.
The writing is simple in “Devil” – a bit lackluster in parts, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this book – and I think you would too.
