On the ride home last night I heard a song on the radio that I fell in love with the moment it began. The announcer never told me who sings it, but I specifically remembered a phrase from the song and found out that the lyrics (and song) belong to the band Jet. The song is “Look What You’ve Done”, on their album Get Born. It’s very Beatlesesque, which is what I love about it. Any band that emulates the Beatles and does it WELL gets my vote and most likely my dollars.
As for their others songs, which you can hear as you surf their website, they are all straight-on rock ‘n’ roll. Music this good hasn’t been made in quite a while – I count myself a fan now, and it only took hearing half a song on a long drive home in the middle of the night.

Well, depends on who you ask. Jet sounds just like, “The Hives” and “The Vines” and there is another group they sound like as well. They are just ok. inho
I think Amy Lee of Evanessance is the best thing I have heard in a long time. She just released or I should say her bf released a new song on his album where she is singing backup. The song is outstanding, but I can’t remember the name of his band. *doh
Ace, since I don’t usually listen to the radio at all, I KNOW about the Hives and Vines from tv but haven’t heard their songs. Either way, I LOVE Jet.
A person that I just fell in love with is “Joss Stone”. I just heard her song on MTV this weekend for the first time. I love her R&B sound.
