So I made another Dutch Baby Pancake tonight and it turned out even better than last night’s original attempt.

Yu-um!
Ooh! I ordered a Dutch Baby at a little pancake institution in Chicago and it was to die for! I never dramed of being able to make one myself (mine had cooked apples in the middle…have you tried fruit in yours)? Or would that be a big no-no? 😉
Uh, “dreamed.” I have no idea what “dramed” means. 😉
Next time you’re in Columbia at the zoo, go early and hit breakfast
or lunch at the Original Pancake House (it’s off 77 – the Forest Dr.
exit)just a few blocks down (you can really only go one way on the
exit – the other way takes you into Ft. Jackson) in a shopping
center with Steinmart and Books A Million. Their Dutch Baby Pancake
is awesome – and has the fruit – in fact, that may be the same
exact place that Gwynne went in Chicago as there’s one up that way as well.
Their omelettes are also to die for.
Gwynne – CootieGirl and I dipped ours in applesauce last night and it was quite tasty.
Beth – we’ll be “due” to head to the zoo in another month or so – maybe we’ll make it an early trip and hit the pancake place!
Okay, that’s like the seventh level of food goodness.
Beth, that’s IT! The Original Pancake House near Old Town Chicago, just off Lake Shore Blvd. Uh, yeah, Jaynee, you MUST try that! 🙂
